Gordon died in 1979, just one year after marrying his Millikan High School sweetheart, Charisse Lian Hain. They were residing in Anchorage, Alaska, at the time of his death, due to cancer.
Charisse would remarry, in 1996 and passed away after a 16 year battle with breast cancer, in 2013. (See her In Memory… page for details about Charisse, or to post a memory for her.)

I met Gordon at Stanford Junior High and we became great friends. In 10th grade he discovered he had a serious medical condition and because I was one of his best friends he told me about it. He lived his life fully and no one would ever know from his possitive attitude and great personality he had any problems. CC was the love of his life.
