I met Don McBride at Millikan and I remember as we headed east on Spring Street after class Don was always telling me what a great punter he was and that he was going out for the team. I'm pretty sure he never did as I recall Coach Hull having much bigger guys to do that. Don had something of an entrepreneur spirit about him and we discussed the Junior Achievement program offered to juniors. Don joined in and I was very impressed that he saw the project through to the end. Sorry to read such a decent guy as Don McBride left us far too soon. Thank you for your service. "Semper Paratus."
I MET DON AT MILLIKAN, AFTER I RETIRED FROM THE ARMY FROM MY INJURY'S FRO VIETNAM IN 1972. WE WORKED TO GETHER FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME UNTILL I MOVED ON. I WILL MISS THE GOOD OLD TIMES WE HAD.
