Kathleen (Kitty) Todd (Schmidt) 1950 - 2010

Kitty Schmidt was born on August 23, 1950, and stepped into eternity with her Lord on July 17, 2010. She lived her entire life in Long Beach. She was survived by her husband, Ron; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Joe Manny; mother, Emily Todd; sisters, Laurie Morgan (Byron), Becky Nordyke (Randy); and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kitty was an accomplished artist, producing unique jewelry, leaded glass and quilts. Her therapy was spending time in her beautiful garden. Most of all she was a prayer warrior and devoted Christian, sharing her faith, love and friendship with others.

From friend and classmate, Debbie Voils Yturralde,
Kitty passed away from complications of diabetes several years ago. She had attended Los Altos Grace Brethren Church where we crossed paths. “Kitty” as her friends called her was a great friend at Millikan. We shared art classes, boy problems, football games, and more. Her father was a firefighter and added a second story to their home on Albert. In school, when she had a insulin reaction, I got to escort her to the nurse where she got a chocolate candy bar for her medicine. It was hard for me to say goodbye.
