He was my neighborhood friend, through Hill Jr High and Millikan. A good guy, and a little socially inadept, as was I. Sad to see him on this page. A missed opportunity to see how his life was going.
Like Larry, Bob and I traveled from Hill to Millikan and had friendly relationship all through both scools. Fifty-nine is just too young to go but as we're finding out, life is measured differently for us all.
Bob's family lived on the opposite side of our street about 3 houses down from ours. I remember hanging out with him during the warm summer evenings while all the kids played ball in the street. He was a shy guy and I had a major crush on him for a while during high school. I'm pretty sure it was his older sister who got me started with smoking cigarettes. Rest in peace Bob.
I remember he got a hairline fracture on a little finger playing basketball. Odd thing to remember. He was a really, really nice guy. I'm sad to see this.
