Ronald Jospeh Bolton was born 5 August 1950 in Los Angeles and passed away 20 March 2006.  

He was known in the racing community as "Mad Dog" Bolton:

Ron was one talented engine builder, boat builder and K-Boat driver. He and his father built my Blown Gas Flat drag boat engine and complete boat installation that ended up a real show stopper and very quick and safe boat. I had a lot of fun going to the shop several times a week which was always a great time chatting with them and seeing stuff they were working on. They picked me up, I think for a race in 1979, as we all drove to Firebird in Phoenix Az for the K-Boat races where Ron raced in and I have to tell you I had a total blast with them. Ron was so much fun and I have truly missed him and his parents since those days. RIP Ron we all loved you very much.
