Hi Bonnie,

Although I knew brother Mark a little better than Rich, I spent some time with both of them and I think many would agree they were "wild and crazy guys" — but then, it was a wild and crazy time. I have fond memories of sister Eileen (the ELF) coming up to San Francisco for many Dead shows, and those  legendary after parties!

To quote Walt Whitman: "Death is different from what anyone had supposed -- and luckier"

Rich was my classmate...Cubberley --> Marshall --> Millikan.  Also my next door neighbor growing up on Coralite Street...and a good friend. I always knew when he was in trouble as I could easily hear his Mom yelling...often. I'm sure he would say the same thing about me. We had a pretty good time in Haddy's photography class, both the begining and advanced...even set up a dark room at home. DL's weren't very complicated back then....yep, fake ID's.  You are in my thoughts my friend!

I was surprised to see that Rich passed away so long ago.  I dated him for a while in 10th grade.  I remember sitting in my math class daydreaming about him.  He had the most beautiful smile.
