Gary Keating, was one of our cheerleaders and a member of the gymnastics team. He had a life-long fascination with aviation, eventually becoming a commercial pilot.

Gary died in 2009, from complications due to Diabetes.

KEATING, Gary W. 59 years old, of Long Beach, died November 6, 2009, from complications related to diabetes. Gary was born and raised in Long Beach and graduated from Millikan H.S. and CSULB. As a youth, he loved flying and was a licensed pilot, he worked in several airplane related fields before retiring. He is survived by his mother, Doris Keating of Long Beach; father, James Keating of Escondido; brothers, Ron, Rick and Steve; sister, Patty; and 7 nieces and nephews. Memorial service is Monday, November 16, noon, at Forest Lawn, Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
