It is with heavy heart, I learned this morning from Robert (Vicki’s husband) this long time dear friend from our Orange County Probation Department family has passed. Approximately forty years ago, Vicki developed throat cancer. Since the onset followed by a host of medical issues which resulted, she fought a hard battle all while keeping her typical sense of humor. It is no secret she had a huge heart with a hippie spirit as well as the mouth of a sailor when needed. She faced challenges head on in her professional life as well as personal life. As a Probation Officer she was firm but fair and her charges often thanked her and kept in touch when they were no longer under her watch. The loves of her life were Robert and her only son Ryan as well as her beloved pets. After retirement, the Kennedy family moved to GA and also maintained second home in FL where fun was had by all.
I wanted to celebrate Vicki by choosing some things she had previously posted. Trust me - she was whispering in my ear her endorsed permission to remind others the type person she was as well as her life philosophy. Looking at her timeline I kept finding myself saying “that is so Vicki!” Fly high my friend and finally rest in peace. You are unforgettable.

If you have thoughts or memories of Vicki, please post below.

Vicki was a great person and I was so forturnate to be going to Georgia in October and was able to stop by and visit with her and with Robert. Her spirits were upbeat but I could tell her body was tired. I have great memories of her growning up (we were neighbors on Iroquois Ave). Rest In Peace Vicki! You will be missed.

I knew Vicki best in Cubberley elementary school. We were in BlueBirds and Camp Fire girls. Our moms arranged for the group to sell the cans of peanuts Campfire girls were known for. (I so wantd it to be cookies, like the Girl Scouts!) Anyway, Vicki and I would be so sily and laugh at all the things we saw and did.
She is a part of my best childhood memories.

I did not know Vicki, but hope she is flying high now and is at sweet, loving peace. <3
