We lost Barbara in March 1989. She was living in Australia with her husband and 2 daughters. Her mother had moved there, as well. She was full of fun and always ready for an adventure.
In her senior year, her father took her to the car dealership and bought her a new Opal station wagon. It was a stick shift and she had never driven one before. He just bought it and left. Okay, now what does she do. She bounced her way down the street to my house. We had a half hour lesson and she was now a pro. We did laught quite a bit in that half hour.
