There are plans in the works for other activities, including a golf outing and other ideas. These are still being planned. We will notify everyone, as those plans become formalized.

You can book lodging at Hotel Current by
clicking here and a separate window will open
.

(Use this booking code: 092223MH to get the group rate of $139/night. This rate can be used for any block of days, from Wednesday, the 20th; through Monday, the 25th)

Friday Meet-n-Greet:
This casual event will be held at the Hotel Current, where many of our classmates will be lodging. Specific plans for this event are still being worked out.

The organized event will begin in the late afternoon, but many of us will be hanging out by the pool or the indoor common area throughout the day. All classmates are welcome to come by at any time on Friday, whether or not you are a registered guest of the hotel.

  • We are planning to have appetizers and beverage options, for the evening.
(What exactly this will look/taste like, is still TBD)

  • While the event is free, if you are only attending Friday, we are asking that you make a donation, when you register.

  • You are welcome to bring your own
    munchies and beverages… including alcohol

  • We will have an indoor space reserved for us, in the evening

  • Relax by the pool (open all day)

Saturday Evening Main Event:
The dinner, on the 23rd, will be at the Long Beach Petroleum Club. Following dinner, we will dance to the sounds of The Emperors! Doors will open at 5 PM and dinner will commence at 6 PM.

  • Dress will be business casual
(If you don't know what that is… ask your kids or grandkids)

  • Special surprise as you arrive at the event

  • Buffet-style dinner with 2 choices of entree
    (Choices are still TBD)

  • The Petroleum Club is willing to provide a number of Vegetarian entrees,
so please let us know if you need that, when you fill out the registration.

  • Dance to the Emperors!

  • No-host bar
    (No “outside” alcohol is allowed)

  • We will have an area set up, including props, for classmates to take photos.
(Make sure to bring your cell phone or camera)

  • An area will be set aside to pay respects to classmates that are no longer with us. We hope to have a slideshow or something similar, in that area, along with photos

Payment:
The mailing address for checks will be shown at the completion of the registration process.

Additionally, if you do online banking—and your bank supports the Zelle transaction system—you can make payment that way. Zelle acts as sort of an intermediary for transferring money, without requiring either party to divulge their online banking details.

Don't worry if you have never used it before. It is fairly easy and your online banking site should have instructions for Zelle. If you intend to use Zelle, the email to use is: janis.jacobs2@gmail.com, the email for our Treasurer, Janis (Pugh) Jacobs. Since Zelle is not integrated into the website template, when you register it will indicate you are paying by mail-in check. Ignore that and just go to your online bank to pay with Zelle.

Zelle is not incorporated into the website hosting service, so only “Check by mail,” will appear as a payment option during the registration/payment process. Don't worry, we will know if you paid via Zelle, and we will be able to issue you a reciept.

Because we plan to create a scholarship at Millikan, we want to minimize unnecessary expenses. That is why we are limiting payment options to checks and Zelle (online). Neither involves a fee.

Donations:
We have tried to price this reunion as low as possible, while still expecting to cover all our expenses. However, there may be some unplanned expenses along the way.

We have set up a donation button, as part of the registration process. If there are any uncovered expenses, we will—first—utilize funds from donations to cover them. Once all expenses are covered, all remaining funds—and we expect this will be most of the money donated—will be used as a gift or grant for students in need.
